What BESS projects need from a barrier
- A tested rating to model. Consultants need a DLR and band data, not a marketing figure. We supply both.
- Height. Plant noise often needs tall barriers. NoiseBloc™ runs from 1.98m to 7m, and Board & Batten has been delivered at 7m on a BESS project.
- Engineered posts. Hot-dip galvanised steel UB posts sized by height and exposure, with site-specific structural design available.
- Critical-site installers. Approved installers for critical sites carry £10m insurance and suitable site safety accreditation.
- Airflow and access. Barrier lines, gates and clearances are agreed with your designer so cooling plant and maintenance access are not compromised.

What height acoustic barrier does a BESS site need?
The acoustic consultant sets the height from the noise model. NoiseBloc barriers are supplied from 1.98m to 7m as standard, and other heights on request.
Which NoiseBloc system is best for battery storage?
Board & Batten suits most BESS boundaries cost-effectively, Premium TGV gives higher performance, and Eco offers a maintenance-free recycled plastic finish.
Do you provide installers for BESS sites?
Yes. Our Approved Installer Network includes contractors approved for critical sites, with £10m insurance and appropriate site safety accreditation.
